Moldova marks its presence at ITB Berlin 2024, the prestigious International Tourism Trade Fair, from today until 7 March, bringing together key players from its tourism sector. This year, the country’s tourism offerings are represented by 15 industry stakeholders, including governmental bodies, tourism associations, and various hospitality and transportation services. Highlighting its rich cultural heritage and burgeoning wine industry, Moldova aims to attract global attention and foster international collaborations.
Participants at Moldova’s country stand include central and local public authorities, professional tourism associations, travel agencies, hotels, boarding houses, renowned wineries, and air transport operators. This diverse representation underscores Moldova’s commitment to showcasing the full spectrum of its tourism potential, from its scenic landscapes and rich history to its acclaimed wine culture. The participation of prestigious wineries such as Milestii Mici, Cricova, Chateau Purcari, Chateau Vartely, and Kislov Winery promises to be a highlight, offering attendees a taste of Moldova’s renowned viticulture.
One of the key events at Moldova’s stand is the Wine ‘clock networking event, scheduled for 6 March at 16:00. This event provides a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in Moldova’s tourist offerings while enjoying a selection of fine wines from the country’s top wineries. It serves as a platform for fostering dialogue, building new partnerships, and exchanging cultural insights, further positioning Moldova as a compelling destination on the global tourism map.
The initiative is backed by the Moldovan Culture Ministry, the National Tourism Office, and the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity Project (RCRA), financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Moldova. This strategic support highlights the concerted efforts to promote Moldova’s tourism sector, leveraging international platforms like ITB Berlin to showcase the country’s unique attractions and hospitality. Through such participations, Moldova aims to enhance its visibility, attract international tourists, and stimulate economic growth through tourism.
