Parents and children are preparing for a brand-new school year, with the summer holidays all but over.
Most pupils in England and Wales will go back for a couple of days this week, before returning to a full five-day schedule next week.
Here are all the term dates you need to know for the 2022/23 academic year.
In England and Wales, the majority of schools will go back on Thursday 1 September.
However, dates can vary by local council. To discover when schools are going back in your area, enter your postcode into the government website here, and it will direct you to the relevant page on your council’s site.
Term dates are different in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In Scotland pupils returned to school in mid-August, while in Northern Ireland all schools will go back on Thursday 1 September.
Once again, in England and Wales term and holiday dates may differ by local authority, but the majority will follow this pattern:
